Iranian FM on X: UNSC inaction emboldened Zionists to continue crimes

Intensive phone conversations with my colleagues about the dangerous situation in the region caused by the terrorist aggression by the Zionists in Iran and Lebanon continued this evening.

In phone calls with my counterparts from Switzerland and Malta, and in response to a phone call from my British counterpart, who are all members of the UN Security Council, I stressed that the inaction of the UNSC regarding the crimes of the occupying regime has emboldened Tel Aviv to continue its war and bloodshed and the spillover of instability and insecurity across the region.

In a phone conversation with my Austrian counterpart, I said the fact that Europe turns a blind eye to and sometimes supports the Israeli regime's crimes including the martyrdom of an official guest of the inauguration ceremony of the Iranian president is completely at odds with Europe's claims and disrupts peace and security of the region.

In response to phone calls from my counterparts from Syria and Egypt, I also stated that unity and coordination among Muslim countries in joint action against the aggression and massacre by the Zionist regime will be an important factor in deterring the terrorist and criminal gang ruling in Tel Aviv.

In all these conversations, I underlined Iran's determination to use its inherent and legitimate right to protect its national security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. It's the country's decisive resolve to establish deterrence against the evil entity that is the roocause of instability and insecurity in the region.
