New Portal/Mobile App Streamlines Wheeling University Student/Employee Access

Wheeling, W.Va., Oct. 9 - Wheeling University's new portal is providing students and employees personalized, easy access to email, class schedules, grades, campus events and internal applications.

The portal provides members of the campus instant access to information through a mobile app, WheelingU, giving members of the campus the ability to login into the site from anywhere.

"The new Wheeling University portal gives our students, faculty and staff a place where they can login to a variety of campus operations, such as email, news, the grading system, class information and much more," said Ron Magers, director of Information Technology. "Once a person logs in, they can personalize their landing site to include the internal apps and information they use the most."

The personalized dashboard, he noted, can provide users with such items as class schedules, grades, campus events, the Self-Service link and online bill payment.

He noted the WheelingU portal and mobile app is designed to enhance the users' experience at Wheeling by streamlining access to important information and university links, Magers added.

"The portal allows members of the campus to manage tasks and stay connected from anywhere," Magers explained.

The WheelingU mobile app is available at no charge on the Google Play Store and the Apple Apps Store.
