Free Household Hazardous Waste Collection, Saturday, November 2

Rutherford County will host a free Household Hazardous Waste Collection on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Items can be taken to the City of Murfreesboro Solid Waste Department located at 4765 Florence Road, Murfreesboro from 8:00 a.m. until Noon. This is the ONLY location where HHW items will be accepted.

• The event is free, and all households are encouraged to participate.
• Paint of any kind will not be accepted at this year's event.
• Electronic waste is also NOT accepted at this event. Instead, it is collected each Monday through Thursday, and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at 1140 Haley Road in Murfreesboro.
• Any Tennessee resident can participate in the Mobile Household Hazardous Waste Collection Service.
• Only households may use the service to dispose of hazardous wastes.
• No commercial, institutional or agri-business waste will be accepted.
