Meet with Zscaler at AWS re:Invent 2024

The recent Zscaler ThreatLabz 2024 VPN Risk Report sheds light on critical security challenges and explores why organizations are moving towards a zero trust architecture instead. Key findings include:

  • 91% of respondents expressed concerns about VPNs compromising their IT security environment
  • 62% of enterprises agree that VPNs are anti-zero trust
  • 78% of organizations plan to implement zero trust strategies in the next 12 months

In addition, recent trends show that ransomware attacks continue to increase despite numerous law enforcement operations, criminal indictments, and sanctions. Findings from the Zscaler ThreatLabz 2024 Ransomware Report include that the number of extorted companies on data leak sites grew by 57.8% year-over-year. It also found that vulnerabilities remain an all-too common ransomware attack vector, emphasizing the importance of timely patching and unified vulnerability management, underpinned by a zero trust architecture to provide protection even when patches are not available.
