Panhandle State Foundation & Alumni Association Partner to Introduce Scholarship Program: Aggie Partners

The Panhandle State Foundation and the Alumni Association are proud to introduce the Aggie Partners Program, an exciting new initiative designed to expand opportunities for students at Oklahoma Panhandle State University. This program allows donors to directly support scholarships while ensuring that their contributions also assist in the long-term growth and sustainability of the university.

Through the Aggie Partners Program, 85% of each donor's annual contribution of $1,000 or more will be allocated to the scholarship program of the donor's choice, making an immediate impact on the students who need it most. Additionally, 5% of the contribution will go toward a support fund for the selected program, while 5% will assist with promotional costs and 5% will support the administrative costs of the program.

Chyanna Black, Executive Director of the Panhandle State Foundation, expressed her excitement about the program's launch, stating, " Aggie Partners is a game-changer for our students and faculty & staff. It allows us to provide more targeted financial assistance while ensuring the sustainability of our scholarship offerings. Our first partnership was with a very loyal set of alumni directed to the accounting department. We're thrilled to give donors the power to choose where their contributions go and to work closely with them to create a lasting impact."

The program represents a partnership between the Panhandle State Foundation and the Alumni Association, uniting their efforts to boost scholarships and student support. The Director of Alumni Relations, Shawn Joy, highlighted the collaborative aspect of the new initiative, noting, "Our alumni have always been incredibly supportive of OPSU students, and this program offers a structured way for them to continue that legacy. Whether they want to fund a specific academic department or athletic program the Aggie Partners gives them that flexibility."

The program was initiated by Jim Quimby, former Panhandle State Foundation president, who shared his vision for the project: "When we started discussing this idea, we knew it had the potential to revolutionize how we support our coaches, faculty, staff, and students. Aggie Partners offers a way for us to meet current financial needs while building a stronger foundation for future generations of Aggies."

With most of each donation directly benefiting students, the program ensures that contributions go further than ever before. Dr. Julie Dinger, President of Oklahoma Panhandle State University, shared her enthusiasm, saying, "I am so grateful for the Panhandle State Foundation and the Alumni Association for creating this opportunity for our programs to bring support directly to our students. It's a true win-win."

As the Aggie Partners Program launches, the Panhandle State Foundation and the Alumni Association invite donors, alumni, and friends of the university to participate in this impactful opportunity. Together, we can continue to build a brighter future for OPSU students.
