SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV - The cast and crew of the Shepherd University Contemporary Theater Studies' upcoming production of Thornton Wilder's "Our Town" got a unique opportunity to prepare for the show when they traveled to the Barrymore Theatre in New York, New York, to see the Broadway production.

kb Saine, Director of the Contemporary Theater Studies Program & Professor of Theater at Shepherd, said it was an all-access experience with students meeting the cast and crew and posing for pictures after the show.

"It was very cool for the students," Saine said. "The Broadway team even sent them home with copies of the Broadway cast script."

The visit impacted Broadway as well, even getting a write-up in www.broadwayworld.com.

"Our Town" focuses on the daily lives of people in a small American town called Grover's Corners from 1901 to 1913.

The show runs at Shepherd University's Marinoff Theater from November 2 - 8 with matinee and evening shows. A full schedule and ticketing information is available here.
