Weekend Lane Closures on SR 20 in Rockdale Co as Resurfacing Project Begins
ATLANTA METRO- Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will install overnight lane closures this weekend to begin a resurfacing project on SR 20 between Sigman Road and the Rockdale/Walton County line. This resurfacing project will produce a smoother ride for drivers while also improving the condition of the deteriorating roadway.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, one right lane will be closed on SR 20 within the project limits beginning 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 13 until 5 a.m. on Monday. These closures will help ensure the safety of drivers and workers as crews begin milling, inlay and resurfacing operations on the roadway.
Lane closures help ensure safety for workers and drivers through the project area as crews continue milling, inlay and resurfacing to improve the deteriorating roadway.
This $3.4 million project is scheduled for completion late spring 2025. (PI M006465)
