City of Valdosta Announces 2024 Christmas Theme: 'A Georgia Christmas'

The City of Valdosta Main Street program is thrilled to announce that the community has spoken, and this year's Christmas theme will be "A Georgia Christmas."

Following a social media voting process with three strong theme choices, "A Georgia Christmas" emerged as the clear favorite, capturing the essence of our beloved state. This theme promises to highlight the unique traditions, culture, and spirit of Georgia during this merry holiday season.

"We are excited to celebrate this wonderful event with a theme that resonates so deeply with our community," said City of Valdosta Main Street Manager, Kym Hughes. "A Georgia Christmas will bring together the charm and warmth of our state, creating a memorable experience for parade spectators and participants ."

Hughes added, "We wanted a theme that not only celebrates the season but also brings out the best of our community spirit. 'A Georgia Christmas' does just that, and we are looking forward to seeing how our residents and visitors embrace it!"

The highlight of this year's celebrations will be the annual Christmas parade, scheduled for Saturday, December 7, beginning at dusk. The parade will feature an array of floats, performers, and decorations that embody the "A Georgia Christmas" theme, promising an enchanting evening for attendees of all ages.
