Neal Statement on Protecting 600,000 Teamster Pensions

Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Richard E. Neal (D-MA) released the following statement highlighting the latest award from the American Rescue Plan's "Butch Lewis" program:

"Today, hundreds of thousands of pensioners will take a deep sigh of relief knowing that after a lifetime of hard work, their retirement security has been protected by the Biden-Harris Administration and Democrats. These are workers who played by the rules and due to no fault of their own still found the future uncertain. Not a single Republican joined us in getting this done, but we all know they would've been the first to hoot and holler about the economic earthquake had we not acted. Our commitment to America's workers is unbreakable, and their success will always be our success."
