Rosen Highlights Bipartisan Work for Small Businesses at Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce Luncheon

LAS VEGAS, NV - Today, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) spoke at the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon to discuss her support for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI)-owned small businesses and the bipartisan work she is doing to support Nevada entrepreneurs. In her remarks, she highlighted her efforts working across the aisle to strengthen Nevada's tourism economy, including her leadership in securing funding for high speed rail in Las Vegas that will bring more visitors and economic growth to the state. Senator Rosen was also presented with a plaque recognizing her support of the AANHPI community in Las Vegas and a certificate for her work supporting Medicare.

"Nevada's small businesses and entrepreneurs are crucial to our state and our economy," said Senator Rosen. "I was honored to speak at the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon to discuss my bipartisan efforts in the U.S. Senate to cut red tape and support our state's small businesses. I'll keep working across the aisle to deliver the federal resources our local businesses need to succeed."

As a member of the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Senator Rosen has been working to bolster Nevada's small business community. Last year, she introduced the bipartisan Minority Entrepreneurship Grant Program Act to establish a Minority Entrepreneurship Grant Program through the Small Business Administration to award grants to Minority Serving Institutions, including Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions, to promote and increase opportunities for AANHPI Nevadans and other minority entrepreneurs to start their businesses. Senator Rosen also introduced the bipartisan One Stop Shop For Small Business Licensing Actto require the SBA to create a centralized website that includes federal, state, and local licensing and business permit information for starting a small business.
