Town Creek project, Transit Center update, Oakwood Trail and more featured ‘In the City’

The October edition of Murfreesboro's "In the City" features the latest on the Town Creek project, an update on Transit Center construction, and a new trail at Barfield Crescent Park.

"In the City" is airing on CityTV, Facebook, YouTube, and other City platforms throughout October. CityTVs Michael Linn White hosts the October edition, featuring the latest happenings in the City of Murfreesboro. Stories also include the Fourth Annual Mayor's Golf Invitational, Reading in the Schools Day, the MFRD 9/11 Stair Climb, the Greenway Arts Festival, and renovations to Tennis/Pickleball Courts at Old Fort Park.

  • Workers are making progress on renovations to outdoor Tennis Courts at Old Fort Park near Kids Castle. Built in the 1970s and renovated in the 1990s, Parks is converting the eight tennis courts to six tennis courts, six pickleball courts, and a hitting wall.
