Weekly APA Public Comment Periods Announcement


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go online to learn more about each public comment opportunity and to submit comments electronically.

At present, the following projects are available for comment at https://apa.ny.gov/Hearings/index.cfm:

• Installation of a 16-ft long by 12-ft wide timber bridge on an existing skid road for a snowmobile trail in St. Lawrence County.

• A regeneration timber harvest, with reserves, consisting of 363± acres in two stands within Lyme Timber's 21,345-acre Crown Point Tract in the Towns of Crown Point and Ticonderoga, Essex County.

• A new commercial use self-storage facility comprised of two 5,500-square-foot units in the Tow of Saranac, Clinton County.

• Installation of one new utility pole and replacement of 24 existing utility poles and line improvements along approximately 4.5 miles of existing utility right-of-way in the Town of Ausable, Clinton County, and the Town of Jay, Essex County.

• Replacement of a 96-inch metal pipe culvert with a 10-foot, 9-inch by 6-foot, 10-inch aluminum structural plate pipe arch over Mill Brook in the Town of Putnam, Washington County.

The mission of the Adirondack Park Agency is to protect the public and private resources of the Adirondack Park through the exercise of the powers and duties of the Agency as provided by law.
