Guess what? In celebration of National Tree Day, Council has a challenge for you:

The 'Longest Gum Leaf' competition!

So, grab your coziest scarf, get out in nature and hunt for the longest gum leaf you can find! Once you've found the most epic leaf out there, head on over to one of our libraries in Alexandra, Yea or Kinglake and show off your prized leaf.

You'll officially go in the running for some seriously cool prizes for both kids and grown-ups too!

Entries close 16 July 2024.

Winners will be announced at a National Tree Day event on Tuesday 16 July, after a talk by well-known ABC Radio presenter Dr Gregory Moore OAM.
