‘Celebrating our progress and planning for the future’

October 28, 2024

Dear Colleagues,

As the fall semester kicks into high gear, I am thrilled to be traveling to each of our campuses for the final town hall series of my presidency. The last nine years have been an incredible journey for the WSU system, and it has been an honor to work alongside each of you to get us where we are today.

In the WSU Pullman and Extension town halls that took place last week, the executive vice presidents and I fielded thoughtful questions from community members on the future of the WSU system. We all agree that there are incredible opportunities ahead of us at the campus, college, and unit levels. Our current goal is to continue establishing shared priorities across our diverse system and reinforcing those priorities with the infrastructure needed to ensure their success.

With the implementation of the academic and administrative review, I am confident that a greater degree of cohesion can be achieved, and our impact can grow tenfold. You all do incredible work, and we will create more opportunities for stories, research, events, and accolades like the ones listed below.

As the fall town halls across the state, I hope that you will join Executive Vice Presidents Leslie Brunelli, Daryll DeWald, Chris Riley-Tillman, and me for a dialogue on the WSU system. We'll be continuing with WSU Vancouver on November 5, followed by WSU Everett on November 13. The form to submit questions in advance and the full schedule of town halls can be found on the Office of the President's website.

Go Cougs!
