Detectives Investigate Homicide in New Holly

Detectives are investigating a homicide in South Seattle's New Holly Neighborhood.

Thursday shortly after 8:30 p.m., 911 received a report of a shooting in the 7400 block of Rockery Drive South.

Police arrived and found an unresponsive teenage boy suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived and took over. The male was transported to Harborview Medical Center.

Harborview Medical Center staff continued aid, but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Individuals were detained after being pursued to Everett, Washington. This continues to be an active and ongoing investigation.

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
