Maine Dems Statement On Vice Presidential Debate

Maine Democratic Party Chair Bev Uhlenhake released the following statement:

"As a veteran, public school teacher, and elected leader, Governor Tim Walz has dedicated his life to serving the American people.

"Tonight, Gov. Walz laid out a clear contrast between the policy priorities of a Harris-Walz administration-which will fight for our future and create opportunities for all Mainers to not just get by, but get ahead, by lowering costs for parents, homeowners, and small businesses, and Donald Trump and JD Vance's extreme Project 2025 agenda to rip away our fundamental freedoms, destroy our democracy, and give tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy at the expense of hardworking Mainers.

"On November 5, Mainers will elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to lead our nation on a new way forward, protect Mainers' fundamental freedoms, and strengthen the middle class."
