7/30/2024 Project Update: Work on this project has been extended to Friday, August 23, 2024.

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a bridge replacement project will begin tomorrow on Route 1007 (Susquehanna Trail) in Lewis and Delaware townships, Northumberland County.

On Thursday, June 5, 2024, Susquehanna Trail will be closed between Schmidt Road and Route 1008 (Five Points Road), while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) bridge crew begins work to replace the structure spanning Warrior Run. Work includes removal of the existing structure, installation of a new concrete box culvert, approach work, line painting, and curbing. Property owners will have access to their property on either side of the bridge.

A detour using Route 1011 (Reynolds Hill Road / Hockley Hill) and Five Points Road will be in place for the duration of the project.

The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of July, (Friday, August 23, 2024), weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
