​PA Turnpike Bridge Construction to Restrict U.S. 422 and N. Gulph Road in Tredyffrin and Upper Merion Townships

​King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has scheduled bridge beam installation on U.S. 422 and N. Gulph Road in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, and Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
  • Wednesday, July 17, through Friday, July 19, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure with periodic traffic paces is scheduled on eastbound U.S. 422 between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202.
  • Wednesday, July 17, through Friday, July 19, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure is scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202.
  • Monday, July 22, through Tuesday, July 23, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure is scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202.
  • Monday, July 22, through Tuesday, July 23, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, N. Gulph Road will be restricted with flagging in both directions to a single lane southbound between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202.
  • Wednesday, July 24, through Friday, July 26, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, periodic traffic paces with flagging are scheduled on N. Gulph Road in both directions between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202.
Motorists should use caution and be prepared for slow or stopped traffic approaching the work areas. The schedule is weather dependent.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
