ORDINANCE SUMMARY

Pursuant to Government Code section 36933(c), the following constitutes a summary of an ordinance introduced on September 3, and scheduled for further consideration and final adoption at the September 17, 2024, Regular City Council Meeting.

ORDINANCE NO. 609-24

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MURRIETA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING BY REFERENCE CHAPTER 8.36 (CONTROL OF VECTORS) OF TITLE 8 (HEALTH AND SAFETY) OF THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE COUNTY CODE AS A NEW CHAPTER IN THE MURRIETA MUNICIPAL CODE

This ordinance adopts the Riverside County Code for vector control by reference as a new chapter 8.46 in the Murrieta Municipal Code to allow the City to inspect, evaluate, enforce, and eradicate vectors within the city.

The City held a Regular Meeting on September 3, 2024, where Ordinance No. 609-24, amending the Murrieta Municipal Code was introduced with the following vote:

Ayes: DeForest, Levell, Holliday, Warren, Stone

Noes: None

Absent: None
