Mayor Mike Johnston Shares Revised 2025 Budget Proposal

Today, Mayor Mike Johnston responded to requests from Denver City Council for additions to the city's 2025 budget.

"As we navigate one of the tightest budgets of the last decade and a significant drop in federal funding, I'm committed to working together to deliver a balanced budget that protects the vital city services residents deserve," said Mayor Mike Johnston. "Members of City Council have provided thoughtful feedback on the 2025 budget proposal, and we are proud to include millions in additional funding for key programs that will build a more vibrant, more affordable and safer Denver."

The revised 2025 budget includes $7.3 million in additional funding for rental assistance, small business supports, youth programs, residential public health inspections, and safer street initiatives. It also addresses a number of other City Council requests through existing resources.

Mayor Johnston's 2025 budget proposal can be found at denvergov.org/budget. The updated October budget book reflecting the changes will be available online on Monday, Oct. 21.
