MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - The Center for Holocaust and Jewish Studies at Penn State Harrisburg is partnering with WITF to host a screening of "Repairing the World: Stories from the Tree of Life," a documentary that examines the Pittsburgh community response to hate after the deadliest antisemitic attack in the United States.

On Oct. 27, 2018, a gunman killed 11 Jewish worshippers at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.

"Repairing the World: A Community Screening and Conversation" will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre at Penn State Harrisburg.

An expert-led discussion will be held after the screening, focusing on issues raised in the film, such as understanding extremism, hate speech and antisemitism, and exploring the Pittsburgh community's response and healing following the violence.

Tickets for the event are free. More information is available on the WITF website.

Visitors are also invited to explore a United States Holocaust Memorial Museum poster exhibition titled "State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda," in the Linda Schwab Reading Room at the Madlyn L. Hanes Library at Penn State Harrisburg.
