SCDOT crews reopen US 276 in Greenville County after damages caused by Hurricane Helene

Columbia, S.C. (October 28, 2024)-The South Carolina Department of Transportation has reopened US 276 near Caesars Head in Greenville County. The road was closed due to damage caused by Hurricane Helene.

Guardrail installation and washout repairs were made by crews and the road was reopened to traffic on Friday, October 25. SCDOT was granted emergency relief funds by the Federal Highway Administration and was able to expedite the repairs.

SCDOT appreciates the public's patience as we continue recovery efforts across the state.
