Fort Pulaski National Monument Will Reopen August 8 2024 Following Tropical Storm Debby

SAVANNAH, GA - Fort Pulaski National Monument will reopen Thursday August 8, 2024 at 12:00 PM following Tropical Storm Debby. Park staff completed an assessment of the park's facilities and resources on Wednesday August 7 and found little damage. The national monument closed on Monday August 5 in anticipation of impacts from the storm.

Park grounds will be open from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Thursday August 8, and Fort Pulaski will close at 4:30 PM. Fort Pulaski National Monument will resume standard operations and public visiting hours on Friday August 9 at 9:00 AM. While little damage has been observed, please use caution when exploring park trails.
