Order of Protection violation leads to arrest

press release

On September 11, 2024, State Police members arrested David A. Nadeau, age 33, of Tupper Lake, NY, for criminal contempt 2nd, aggravated harassment 2nd, and resisting arrest.

On September 11, 2024, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Troopers responded to McLaughlin Ave in the village of Tupper Lake for an order of protection violation complaint. An investigation determined Nadeau was sending threatening messages to the victim knowing there was an active stay-away order of protection in place in the court.

Nadeau would not listen to commands as the Troopers were attempting to place him under arrest. The Trooper was able to detain Nadeau and transport him to SP Tupper Lake for processing. He was arraigned in the Village of Tupper Lake Court, where he was later remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash $100,000 secured bond, or $200,000 practically secured bond.
