Gun, Drugs, and Money Recovered During Dorchester Narcotics Investigation

At 1:59 PM, on Saturday, October 5th, 2024, Members of the District E-5 (West Roxbury) and District C-11 (Dorchester) Drug Control Units (DCU) arrested 24-year-old Almani Vasquez, of Dorchester, for firearm and drug related offenses after executing a search warrant at 1 Melbourne St., Dorchester.

As part of an on-going narcotics investigation, Officers executed a search warrant of Vasquez's apartment and recovered a firearm, a high-capacity feeding device, ammunition, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, drug packaging and measuring equipment, drug cutting agents, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

The firearm was determined to be a Beretta Pico .380 c Firearm, loaded with one (1) round of ammunition in the chamber and one (1) in the magazine.

Almani Vasquez was arrested an is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court for the charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance (Cocaine), and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class C Substance (Psilocybin Mushrooms).
