WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Brian Mast (FL-21) delivered a speech on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives to honor the service and sacrifice of the three Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies who lost their lives in the line of duty on November 21.
"They put on their badge, donned body armor, holstered their pistols, and went to work. Their courage was as natural as breathing," said Congressman Mast. "Plain and simple, they were warriors-strong, selfless, and committed to protecting others."
Deputy Ignacio 'Dan' Diaz, Deputy Ralph 'Butch' Waller, and Cpl. Luis Paez tragically lost their lives in a crash on November 21. Congressman Brian Mast presented a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol to the families of the heroes while he attended and spoke at their funeral on December 3.
