The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS (UG) is excited to celebrate the hard work and dedication of UG employees during employee appreciation week. This week, in addition to a UG-wide picnic, we will recognize career milestones for employees with 5 to 50 years of public service.
Celebrating a Century of Service
On Thursday, we will be honoring two individuals for their 50 years of service: Janet Parker in Planning & Urban Design and Mike Tobin in Public Works. The media is invited to attend the ceremony from 3-4 PM on Thursday, September 12 in the Commission Chambers.
Throughout the week employees will have the opportunity to meet and greet directly with County Administrator David Johnston as well as add a little fun to the week with designated themed days for spirit week.
As you see a UG employee throughout the various UG buildings or in the community, please give them a wave, hi-five, or a simple thank you for their hard work and dedication.
