The prospects for developing military-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye are discussed

On August 13, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Director General Mr. Agil Gurbanov met with the delegation led by Haluk Gorgun, President of the Secretariat of Defense Industries under the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, who was visiting Azerbaijan.
Welcoming the Turkish guests, the Director General expressed his pleasure at their visit to Azerbaijan and emphasized the importance of such meetings for strengthening cooperation with the fraternal country.
In turn, Mr. Haluk Gorgun expressed gratitude for the hospitality and confidently noted that the joint production projects between Azerbaijan and Türkiye will enhance the defense capabilities of both countries' Armed Forces.
The meeting, which was attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mr. Cahit Bagci, as well as management staff from leading military-industrial enterprises of Türkiye, focused on the current state and future prospects of military and military-technical cooperation between the two countries. There was also a broad exchange of views on other mutual interests.
As part of the visit Turkish delegates met with Lieutenant General Namig Islamzade who is fulfilling duties of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan - Commander of the Air Force. The guests were briefed on the history of the establishment of the Central Command Post of the Air Force, its ongoing activities, and their questions were addressed.
