Cuthbert, GA (July 1, 2024) - On Friday, June 28, 2024, the GBI and the Cuthbert Police Department arrested and charged a 16-year-old from Cuthbert, GA with Aggravated Assault. The arrest is in connection to a shooting that took place in Cuthbert, GA.

On Friday, June 28, 2024, the Cuthbert Police Department requested the GBI to assist in a shooting investigation on Oak Street, Dawson, GA in which a 16-year-old male was found shot. The victim was taken to Phoebe-Putney Hospital in Albany, GA where he received treatment for his injuries.

The 16-year-old was taken to a Regional Youth Detention Center in Columbus, GA.
