The Student Government Association (SGA) is currently accepting applications for undergraduate executive committee memberships.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but students are encouraged to apply early in the semester to increase their chances of securing a spot on the committee of their choice. With 25 committees ranging from academic affairs to public health, undergraduate SGA Vice President Julia Haley says that committees offer each applicant a chance to explore various aspects of campus life.

"Joining an SGA executive committee is a great way to get involved, whether you're an incoming first-year student who has noticed something you would like to change on campus or a fourth-year student who wants to make a positive impact on the student body before you leave. SGA committees are also flexible, give you the opportunity to meet people from all areas of campus, and allow you to get involved with one of the biggest student organizations at Georgia Tech," said Haley, who first joined SGA as a member of the Community Relations Committee.

Students interested in developing and maintaining technology infrastructure and tools for SGA are encouraged to apply for a spot on the IT Board.

Committee members typically participate in weekly meetings to discuss issues raised by constituents with committee heads and take part in projects launched by the committee.
