Senior Workshop on International Rules Governing Military Operations ends

The Senior Workshop on International Rules Governing Military Operations (SWIRMO) co-organized by the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry and the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Azerbaijan ended.
On the last day, the final discussions and analysis of the seminar were held.
At the closing ceremony of the seminar, one of the important events of the ICRC and attended by high-ranking military officials from over 70 countries, the participants were awarded certificates.
It should be noted that the main objective of the seminar is to enhance understanding of international rules governing military operations, examine challenges of practical application of international humanitarian law (IHL) on the modern battlefield, foster a shared vision of the integration of IHL into military planning, conduct of operations and force ethos, and develop mutual understanding between militaries and the ICRC operating in the same shared space.
