918 MINDEF/SAF Personnel Recognised with the National Day Awards

Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen, Senior Minister of State for Defence Mr Zaqy Mohamad and Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral (VADM) Aaron Beng officiated at the National Day Awards Investiture held at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) earlier today.

In 2024, 918 personnel from MINDEF and the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) have been recognised for their outstanding performance and dedication to duty and service to the nation. A total of 161 Commendation Medals, 161 Efficiency Medals, and 618 Long Service Medals were awarded to both military and non-military personnel. Nine personnel were awarded with both the Commendation and the Long Service Medal, and 13 personnel were awarded with the Efficiency and the Long Service Medal.

At the National Day Awards Ceremony held on 3 November 2024, Chief of Digital and Intelligence Service / Director Military Intelligence Major-General Lee Yi-Jin was awarded the Public Administration (Gold)(Military). During the ceremony, 14 SAF officers and nine MINDEF personnel were awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver)(Military) and Public Administration Medal (Silver) respectively. In addition, 33 SAF officers and 20 MINDEF personnel were awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze)(Military) and Public Administration Medal (Bronze) respectively.
