At about 12:13 PM, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, members of the Drug Control Unit assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) and the Citywide DCU, arrested Dakwain Nwaford, 33, of Boston, and Terrell Jackson, 30, of Dorchester for drug trafficking.
Officers were conducting an ongoing drug investigation when they observed a motor vehicle park in front of an apartment on East Dedham Street. The target suspect of the investigation exited an apartment and entered the vehicle. Officers were aware that the suspect had an active warrant for his arrest.
Officers began to follow the vehicle and requested a marked cruiser to assist with conducting a traffic stop. Officers were able to stop the vehicle in the area of Taber Street and Harrison Avenue, and immediately placed the front passenger into handcuffs pertaining to his arrest warrant. Officers conducted a pat frisk of the operator and recovered multiple packages of crack cocaine.
As a result of the investigation and execution of a search warrant, officers recovered eighteen plastic bags of Crack Cocaine, thirteen plastic bags of Marijuana, and $535 in U.S. Currency. The Crack Cocaine was later determined to weigh approximately twenty-five grams.
Nwaford was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking of Class B, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D, Distribution of Class B Subsequent Offense.
Jackson was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking of Class B, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D.
Both are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
