On Thursday, October 31, at 9:29 a.m., the Tallahassee Fire Department (TFD) responded to a reported structure fire located on Hospitality Road. En route, TFD personnel received information indicating possible occupants were inside the building.
Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and flames coming from the second floor of a two-story structure. Crews immediately began firefighting operations while searching for potential occupants. During the search, TFD personnel located and safely removed one individual and confirmed other occupants had exited the structure. Four individuals were transported to hospitals.
Firefighters checked for any fire extension but were able to contain the fire primarily to a single room, preventing it from spreading throughout the structure.
The State Fire Marshal's Office arrived on scene for investigation. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The Tallahassee Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Tallahassee Police Department and Leon County EMS.
