Prepare for next summer now: Enroll in UAB URec swim school

Make water safety a priority by enrolling in UAB URec swim school today.Do not wait until the summer to learn how to swim. The University of Alabama at BirminghamCampus Recreation Center is offering swim lessons this fall to ensure families stay safe around any body of water.

Prioritizing water safety, University Recreation offers swim lessons with curriculum tailored to participants as young as 6 months old to adult. UAB swim school will offer two sessions, each consisting of six 30-minute classes.

Session one will run from Sept. 9 through Oct. 14. Session two will run from Oct. 21 through Dec. 2. Classes will be held on Mondays. For specific times and class levels, click here.

Registration for the fall will open Aug. 1 and will close Sept. 6. The cost is $90 for UAB Rec members or $100 for non-members. Payments can be made after the enrollment form has been completed, submitted and processed. After participants receive confirmation, payments can be submitted to Membership Services.
