UPDATED TRAFFIC ALERT: Route 40 Reopen, Route 2079 Single-Lane Restriction in Washington County

​Uniontown, PA - Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is advising motorists that Route 40 (National Pike) between Route 43 (Mon-Fayette Expressway) in California Borough and Route 88 (California Road)/Blaine Hill Road in West Brownsville Borough has reopened following a bridge strike. A single-lane restriction is in place on Route 2079 (Knob Road) overpass between Wilson Road in California Borough and Old National Pike in West Brownsville Borough.

Motorists should exercise caution when traveling through the area.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
