Campus Ministry will host a Soup with Substance on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from noon to 12:50 p.m. in AMU 227 on the six Black men and women on the path to Canonization after recognition from the Catholic Church. There are currently no African-American Saints formally recognized within the church. Soon any or all of these six men and women may be named Saints.

The event will feature a discussion on how their journeys provide a powerful message regarding overcoming the challenges of their time. It will be presented by by Simone Biagui, MA/ST, director of evangelization and discipleship of the Northwest Milwaukee Catholic Parishes, and the Black Catholic Ministry Commission.
