Today, the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will be on a mission to Paris to speak at the France-Italy-Germany Trilateral Business Forum.
Now in its sixth year, the Trilateral Forum brings together the MEDEF, Confindustria and BDI business associations of the three countries, which represent the industrial sectors of the largest European economies. On 21 November, in addition to Minister Tajani's speech, the official opening session will include those of the three Presidents - Patrick Martin of MEDEF, Emanuele Orsini of Confindustria, and Tanja Gönner of BDI, as well as the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.
As the mandate of the new European Executive dawns and the US Administration changes, the meeting will focus on ways to strengthen European competitiveness and funding for the triple green, digital and demographic transition, while addressing the repositioning of the European Union on the international stage.
"Today's meeting is particularly important, as Europe is facing strategic challenges to maintain its international role," said Minister Tajani. "We need to identify concrete actions to relaunch European competitiveness, starting with a new industrial policy, as based on a pragmatic approach to energy transition, the development of technological innovation, and simplification," explained the Minister. The Minister will also place particular emphasis on the issue of security and the need to preserve the multilateral system, which is essential for ensuring the development of the European and global economy.
