17 Year Old Arrested with a Firearm After a Person with a Gun Call

At about 6:25 PM, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested a 17-year-old Juvenile male on firearm charges.

Officers responded to the area of 41 Stockton Street for a report of a person with a gun. Boston Police Operations provided officers with a description of three teenagers in the rear of that address, and one male had a firearm.

Upon arrival, officers observed the group of males sitting on the front steps of 45 Stockton Street. Officers observed one of the males to have his arm pinned to his side, and bladed his body away. Officers advised the group that they could not be on someone else's property.

At this time, officers conducted a pat frisk of all three males, and recovered a firearm from one of the juveniles. The firearm was later determined to be a FN 509 with one round in the chamber and eight rounds in a magazine capable of holding fifteen rounds.

The 17-year-old juvenile male was placed under arrest and charged with Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Delinquent to wit; Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Delinquent to wit; Trespassing. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
