The "Cyber Swachhta Kendra" (Botnet Cleaning and Malware Analysis Centre) is a part of the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In). It has been set up for analyzing BOTs/malware characteristics, providing information, and enabling citizens for removal of BOTs/malware. In addition, "Cyber Swachhta Kendra" will strive to create awareness among citizens to secure their data, computers, mobile phones, and devices such as home routers.<_o3a_p>

The "Cyber Swachhta Kendra" collaborates with industry and academia to detect systems infected by bots. It also collaborates with the Internet Service Providers to notify the end users regarding infection of their system and providing them assistance to clean their systems. The canter will also enhance awareness of common users regarding botnet, malware infections and measures to be taken to prevent malware infections and secure their computers / systems / devices.<_o3a_p>

Further, this in continuation to BSE Notice no. 20231017-36 dated October 17, 2023, and to create a secure cyber eco-system, BSE vide its above-mentioned circular had stated that Stockbrokers having more than 50,000 active traded clients & also providing Internet Based Trading (IBT) platform were mandatorily required to onboard themselves on 'Cyber Swachhta Kendra' Platform. Similarly, other stockbrokers not part of above criteria were also advised to voluntary onboard themselves on CSK portal to subscribe the services and avail actionable information intelligence from CSK.<_o3a_p>

In order to strengthen the cybersecurity measures in Indian securities market, and to ensure adequate cyber resiliency against cybersecurity incidents/ attacks, it is once again advised that stockbrokers not part of the above-mentioned criteria (active clients and IBT platform) can voluntarily onboard themselves on 'Cyber Swachhta Kendra' Platform and subscribe to the services & avail actionable information intelligence from CSK. <_o3a_p>

For receiving the reports/alerts from Cyber Swachhta Kendra on daily basis, Stockbrokers are required to follow the guidelines as given in Annexure 1 for onboarding Stockbroker on Cyber Swachhta Kendra Portal. <_o3a_p>
