St. Louis Work Zones July 4-10

ST. LOUIS - To reduce congestion and ease travel during the Independence Day weekend, MoDOT will suspend most work on interstates and state highways, starting Wednesday, July 3 at noon.

Traffic will still be restricted in areas where there are permanent barriers, or on roadways where there are road closures (such as for flooding). Emergency roadwork will also be performed as needed. Work on all construction projects will resume on Monday, July 8 at 7 a.m.

Motorists should be aware of the following ongoing closures:

  • I-44, St. Louis City, the southbound 7th Street on-ramp to westbound I-44 closed through mid-July.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, westbound exit to 12th/Gravois closes at 9 a.m. Monday, July 8 through the end of July 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, one northbound lane closed from Lindbergh to north of Bayless through the end of 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, two northbound lanes closed from north of Bayless to Virginia through the end of 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from northbound to Loughborough and the Loughborough on-ramp to northbound I-55 closed will be closed through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from Lafayette/Truman to southbound I-55 is closed through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the ramp from Germania to northbound will be closed through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, one northbound lane closed between Lindbergh and Reavis Barracks Road through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, two northbound lanes closed between Reavis Barracks Rd. and Virginia through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, the Cherokee entrance ramp to southbound I-55 permanently.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, one northbound lane closed from I-44 to north of Bates through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, two southbound lanes closed from north of Bates to north of Weber and one southbound lane closed north of Weber to Reavis Barracks through 2024.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, one southbound lane closed between I-44 and Gasconade through 2025.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, two southbound lanes closed from Reavis Barracks to north of South Lindbergh through 2024.
  • I-70, St. Louis County, the ramp from Lambert International Boulevard to eastbound I-70 is closed through August 2024.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, Riverview Dr. entrance ramp to eastbound I-270 closed and eastbound I-270 exit ramp to Riverview closed through July 2024.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, southbound Riverview Dr. under I-270 closed through 2024.
  • I-270, St. Louis County, various northbound and southbound lanes closed between I-64 and Olive through late 2025.
  • Route 67, St. Louis County, northbound lanes at Route 180 closed through December 2024. Traffic has been switched to southbound side of Route 67, with one lane in each direction.
  • Route AB, St. Louis County, one eastbound and westbound lane closed under I-270 through 2025.
  • Route N, St. Louis County, one southbound lane closed from Thoroughman to Frost Avenue through 2024.

  • I-70, St. Charles County, one westbound lane closed at Belleau Creek.
  • I-70, St. Charles County, one lane closed on the ramp from T.R. Hughes to eastbound through late September 2024.
  • Route 21, Jefferson County, one lane closed southbound from Meramec Heights to Shady Valley.
  • Route 21, Jefferson County, one northbound lane closed from Schenk Road to Route 141.
  • Route 21, Jefferson County, starting July 8, old Route 21 (Schenk Road) exit closed over new Route 21.
  • Route 67, Jefferson County, one lane closed southbound at I-55 through 2024.
  • Route CC, Franklin County, one lane closed over Little Creek.
  • Route Y, Franklin County, Cedar Creek bridge is closed until November 2024.
