Calling all photographers: Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services accepting submissions for annual calendar photo contest

Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services (PRCS) is now accepting photo submissions for its 12th edition of the Discover COS calendar.

This annual calendar shows off the natural beauty of Colorado Springs parks, trails and open spaces. The 2025 Discover COS Calendar will celebrate "Places less traveled: spotlighting the power of recreation in Colorado Springs." PRCS is seeking pictures that highlight community recreation and hidden gems across the city including rarely-featured parks, less-traveled trails, and powerful recreation areas.

All submissions must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6. Photos can be submitted by emailing [email protected], or they can be dropped off or mailed to 1401 Recreation Way. Winning submissions will be announced at an awards ceremony in October. Following the announcement, calendars will be available to the public for purchase at ShopCOS.org | Official Colorado Springs Gear - Olympic City USA Shop.
