U.S. Farm Report Highlights Surging Ag Exports to Mexico

In its Agriculture Around the World segment, U.S. Farm Report focused on Mexico's emergence as the leading destination for U.S. agricultural exports. Anchor Tyne Morgan explained that surging red meat shipments are a contributing factor. She spoke with USMEF President and CEO Dan Halstrom, who was in Mexico City for USMEF's inaugural Red Meat Symposium.

RFD-TV Feature Story on U.S. Beef Training Sessions in the Middle East

RFD-TV offered coverage of U.S. beef training sessions in the Middle East, which were conducted by USMEF Corporate Chef German Navarrete. He explains that trainings were held in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The workshop in Saudi Arabia offered a rare opportunity to educate male and female culinary students together.

At the World Pork Expo in Des Moines, USMEF Senior VP of Industry Relations John Hinners joined broadcaster Riley Smith of Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network to discuss the importance of international demand for U.S. pork. Hinners also offered observations from recent visits to South Korea and Japan.

AgDay Update on Colombia's Beef Restrictions with USMEF's Homero Recio

Reporter Michelle Rook provided AgDay viewers with an update on Colombia's restrictions on U.S. beef, featuring comments from USMEF Latin America Representative Homero Recio.

Colombia has suspended exports from nine U.S. states impacted by highly pathogenic avian influenza in lactating dairy cows. But Recio explains that the U.S. industry is working to overcome this trade barrier and meet the needs of Colombian customers.

National Pork Board Details Broad-Based Growth for U.S. Pork Exports on RFD-TV

On RFD-TV's Market Day Report, National Pork Board Manager of International Market Development Kelli Wicks cites diversification as the key to U.S. pork export growth in the first quarter of 2024. While shipments to leading market Mexico are on a record pace, Wicks notes that exports also increased significantly year-over-year to South Korea, Colombia, Central America, Australia and New Zealand.
