Three Arrest For Felony Drug Possession

PRESS RELEASE

On October 1, 2024, the New York State Police Community Stabilization Unit arrested three men for felony drug possession in Ardsley.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., Troopers conducted a traffic stop of a Nissan Altima on Interstate 87 for violations of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation determined the operator, Christopher Batista, age 23, and two passengers, Jonathan Cain, age 29, and Trynel K. Garland, age 24, all of Bronx, NY, were in possession of approximately 412 grams of Cocaine, and 378 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine.

All three subjects were arrested for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 1st degree, a class A-I felony, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree, a class A-II felony, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony. They were arraigned before the village of Ardsley Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.
