Fall Sculpture Tour

Kick off Illinois Arts & Humanities Month this October with a free walking tour of a portion of Flossmoor's public art collection on Saturday, Oct. 5! Flossmoor Public Art Commissioners will meet you at Centennial (the diamond-shaped sculpture on the south lawn of the Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., Flossmoor). Learn all about how this sculpture was created by talented student-artists and teachers from Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School to celebrate Flossmoor's 100th birthday and as a tribute to Swedish-American sculptor Claes Oldenburg. The tour will then wind through Leavitt Park and end back in downtown Flossmoor at Judith Shea's iconic Child. All are welcome!
