Three Suspects Arrested for Murder

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Sept 26, 2024) - Anaheim Police detectives have arrested three suspects after a man was shot and killed in a residential neighborhood.

On Monday, August 12, 2024, around 9:30 p.m., Anaheim Police Dispatch received a report of a shooting near the 900 block of N. Siesta Street. Anaheim Police officers and Anaheim Fire & Rescue personnel responded to the scene and located a 26-year-old Anaheim man, Christopher Monge, unresponsive in front of a residence. Mr. Monge was suffering from several gunshot wounds. Emergency services personnel provided first aid at the scene. Mr. Monge was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and started their investigation. After several weeks of diligent work, two adults and one juvenile were identified as suspects. On Friday, September 20, 2024, all three suspects were arrested and taken into custody for the murder of Mr. Monge. The adults were identified as Oscar Daniel Aguilar, age 30, and Daidar Martinez, age 33, both residents of Anaheim. The juvenile's identity will not be released to the public. The incident is believed to be gang-related.
