L.A. AREA CHAMBER APPLAUDS LOS ANGELES CITY COUNCIL ON APPROVING L.A. CONVENTION CENTER EXPANSION PROJECT

LOS ANGELES, CA - JULY 2, 2024 - The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement regarding the Los Angeles City Council's approval of the Los Angeles Convention Center Expansion Project.

"The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce applauds the Los Angeles City Council for taking action on the modernization and expansion of the Los Angeles Convention Center," stated Maria S. Salinas, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. "The Convention Center Expansion Project is an investment from which the entire region will benefit, through anticipated $1.3 billion in visitor spending, creation of thousands of high-skilled, high-wage jobs, and a contribution of $69 million to the General Fund, which supports city services."
