Update on Street Projects

City staff provides an update on 2024 street projects:

North Inlays

Reed Street is is open to local traffic. Sidewalks and ramps are being completed. Work on both Spencer and Reed Streets is expected to be completed this fall.

4th Avenue Reconstruction

4th Avenue remains closed for work. Mainline paving is complete, work on walks and drives continues. Seeding will follow up in late September.

Park Street

Sanitary sewer work is occurring now and a short period of water loss will be experienced during the cut over to the new water main. Water services are being installed and transferred this week. Park Street north of 6th Avenue will open next week. Park Street south of 6th Avenue will open later this fall.

Scout Subdivision

Seeding and mulching is occurring this week. The bulk of the work on the remainder of the site will occur in 2025.

Downtown Maintenance Project

Work is scheduled to begin the first week of October and should be wrapped up before Thanksgiving.
