Two people arrested for a credit card skimmer

Two people have been arrested after a credit card skimmer was located at a local store.

On July 15, 2024, officers were dispatched to the Winburn Fruit Supermarket the 1100 block of Winburn Drive after a credit card keypad skimmer overlay was located in the store Two male suspects were arrested at the store. Mihai Neacsu, 39, (in the Fayette County Detention Center as Giorgio Lorenco), and John Doe (in the Fayette County Detention Center as Michele Farsoni), were charged with Unlawful Access to a Computer 1st Degree, Engaging in Organized Crime, Use of a Scan Device/Reencoder to Access/Transactions Information from a Credit Card 1st Offense, and Possession of Burglary Tools. Both are currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center. John Doe's identity is are still under investigation.

At this time, the extent of the financial data compromised is not known. Detectives ask anyone who used a credit or debit card at the store to check their accounts and report suspicious activity.
