Public invited to give input on potential transportation improvements across the Rathdrum Prairie

COEUR D'ALENE-The Idaho Transportation Department invites the community to attendone of two upcomingpublic meetings for a study evaluatingthe stateand local roadway system across the Rathdrum Prairie. Input will help developa rangeof alternativesfor considerationthat will improve mobility and connectivity, enhance safety, and address growth.

This study beganin 2023,and since that timethe public has participated inthescreening process byproviding input about the environment, growth, and their unique perspective on a variety ofcommunity issues. The input provided during the June public meetings has been incorporated into thecurrenttransportation alternatives that will be presentedat the meetings next week.

ITD will also sharemoreinformation about thePlanning and Environmental Linkages studyprocess and timeline of events.

Identicalinformation will be shared at both meetings,which will be held in an open-housestyle toallowparticipants to drop in attheir convenience anytime between 4:30p.m.and 7:00 p.m. to review the information,talk with project staff, and provide feedback

Recommendations from the PEL study, and public and agency input, may be adopted, or incorporated into future National Environmental Policy Actstudies.
